Although, contestants must pay attention to the entrances of roads and service, along with the surroundings.

10. As page 22 of the competition brief mentioned "for the purposes of the Competition all plots can be assumed to be fully serviced with all necessary utilities and can be assumed to be level at 19.50 meters AOD (Water Level at 15.50 meters AOD)",what does it mean?

All plots are above ground. The water level in the area is at 15.50 and ground floor level on all of the plots is at 19.50m.As stated in the competition guidelines in section 7.1 (Page 27), number 10: Parking is on ground surface or above-ground garage and to be incorporated in the design; underground parking is not allowed due to the high water table.

11. I would like to clarify that the kindergarten belongs in terms of parking in Cultural use: 1 car space per 62.5sqm (= 4000/62.5=64 cars) and 1 bicycle per 100sqm (4000/100=40 cycles)?

Hua Yan/Creativersal/Grace needs to confirm this with the Ruichang Government and respond to the contestant accordingly copied to FAQ@s.

12. The kindergarten plots building surface is not 4,126 but 3765m2. Please clarify. Is there a percentage for building coverage?

The plots on our latest CAD drawings are accurate and to scale and the car parking ratio’s and the stipulated height restriction will dictate building coverage.

13. There is a difference between the building area numbers in CAD drawing and Competition Guideline. Would you please check it?

There are no areas stated on the most up to date CAD drawings, except for areas for roads, and can only assume that the contestant is using old CAD plans. All the plot numbers correspond between the competition conditions document, the design parameters guide and our current CAD drawings.

14. Is it possible to setback buildings, vehicles of access and access for pedestrians?

You may set the building back if you so wish. The access for vehicles and pedestrians should be dictated by your design.

15. Can the layout drawings in CAD be changed?

The CAD drawings should be able to be downloaded from the website and  then you are able to change and edit them as you would like.

16. Can topographic designs and levels be altered?

In terms of topography, all plots are above ground. The water level in the area is at 15.50 and ground floor level on all of the plots is at 19.50m. All Photographs are included in the design parameters guide and those are the only photos that are available.

17. How do we design to access the streets?

There are guidelines on the website but they are guidelines only and subject to a footprint which may be dictated by your design but following the spirit of the guidelines

18. As page 23 of the competition brief mentioned "the quantity of A0 boards for technical plans must not be more than 8 pieces" but is there any limitation of quantity for the other? (including renderings).

This includes everything. Your entire submission should be no more than 8 A0 boards.

19. For the final result, are A3 / A4 report and Multi-media /animation requested?

The final submission can be any size, so long as the boards do not exceed 8 A0 boards. For example, you could submit 64 x A3 boards if you wanted to (this is equivalent to 8 A0 boards). As page 37 outlines, a CD/DVD can be included in the submission as well.

20. As page 22 of the competition brief mentioned "for the purposes of the Competition all plots can be assumed to be fully serviced with all necessary utilities and can be assumed to be level at 19.50 meters AOD (Water Level at 15.50 meters AOD)",what does it mean?

This means that all plots are above ground. The water level in the area is at 15.50 and ground floor level on all of the plots is at 19.50m.

21. What is the scale of the master plan?

See CAD drawing on the website, which includes a scale bar. The CAD drawing is to scale and is in mm units.

22. Can we revise the entrance direction and building frontage line? Is there regulation of building setback?

The footprint can be dictated by your design. You may set the building back if you so wish.
