1. Where to Find Submission Form
The Submission Form is attached to Conditions of Competition of International Competition for MOLEWA.PDF as on last few pages.
2. Add Requirement
For the purposes of the Competition all plots can be assumed
to be fully serviced with all necessary utilities and can be assumed to be
level at 19.50 meters AOD (Water Level at 15.50 meters AOD).
3. Confirmation
Email
Please all contestants be noted that there is no confirmation
email after registration. Contestant need to fill all mandatory blanks required
in Profile of Member Centre.
4. ID Code
The ID Code is identification for
contestant to be linked to their works submitted with the registration.
Contestant can use username of registration to be an ID Code.
5. CAD Drawings and Submission Forms

6. Figures and Numbers Difference
If there is any contradiction or
confliction appears in different files, the Competition Guideline always rules
over other documents. Please refer to Competition Guideline as correct one. Also, please download the latest version at:
7. Submission (Delivery) Materials
There is no strict requirement that the materials of submission have to be rigid board or panels. The delivery materials for submission shall be determined by contestant at convenience. Please make sure the size of paper no more than DIN A0 (841mm x 1,189mm).
8. Register Categories and Submission
Categories
If contestant registered for two
categories, but he/she can not complete in time, then he/she can submit one
work of two categories depending on which one is completed.
9. Underground Parking
Underground parking is not allowed in any plot of the competition due to underground water level issue.
10. Buildings' Shapes
The buildings' shapes indicated in Competition Guideline and A Design Parameters Guide are only for architects' reference in design process, they are variable depending on contestants' detail design. Although, contestants must pay attention to the entrances of roads and service, along with the surroundings.

As page 22 of the competition brief mentioned "for the purposes of the
Competition all plots can be assumed to be fully serviced with all necessary
utilities and can be assumed to be level at 19.50 meters AOD (Water Level at
15.50 meters AOD)",what does it mean?
All plots are above ground. The water
level in the area is at 15.50 and ground floor level on all of the plots is at
19.50m.As stated in the competition guidelines in section 7.1 (Page 27), number
10: Parking is on ground surface or above-ground garage and to be incorporated
in the design; underground parking is not allowed due to the high water table.

I would like to clarify that the kindergarten belongs in terms of parking in
Cultural use: 1 car space per 62.5sqm (= 4000/62.5=64 cars) and 1 bicycle per
100sqm (4000/100=40 cycles)?

Is it possible to setback buildings, vehicles of access and access for
pedestrians?
You may set the building back if you so
wish. The access for vehicles and pedestrians should be dictated by your
design.

Can the layout drawings in CAD be changed?
The CAD drawings should be able to be
downloaded from the website and then you
are able to change and edit them as you would like.
15.
Can topographic designs and levels be altered?
In terms of topography, all plots are
above ground. The water level in the area is at 15.50 and ground floor level on
all of the plots is at 19.50m. All Photographs are included in the design
parameters guide and those are the only photos that are available.

How do we design to access the streets?
There are guidelines on the website but
they are guidelines only and subject to a footprint which may be dictated by
your design but following the spirit of the guidelines

As page 23 of the competition brief mentioned "the quantity of A0 boards
for technical plans must not be more than 8 pieces" but is there any
limitation of quantity for the other? (including renderings).
This includes everything. Your entire
submission should be no more than 8 A0 boards.

For the final result, are A3 / A4 report and Multi-media /animation requested?
The final submission can be any size, so
long as the boards do not exceed 8 A0 boards. For example, you could submit 64
x A3 boards if you wanted to (this is equivalent to 8 A0 boards). As page 37
outlines, a CD/DVD can be included in the submission as well.

What is the scale of the master plan?
See CAD drawing on the website, which
includes a scale bar. The CAD drawing is to scale and is in mm units.

Can we revise the entrance direction and building frontage line? Is there
regulation of building setback?
The footprint can be dictated by your
design. You may set the building back if you so wish.

As the information given by the ‘MOLEWA International Competition Guideline’ ,
buildings set out for plots 16-18 are townhouses, could we use this three plots
at the same time, or we should choose one of it?

of another car parking ratio for entertainment. Where is that program located
and are the cinema a part of that?

Is the massing provided in the images in the program optional or obligatory?
Massing will be dictated by the 30M
height restriction

About Plot 5: Is the parking area included in the GFA?
Car parking is excluded from GFA
27.As page 29 of the competition brief (Chinese Version) mentioned "The parking space ratio is 1 square meter per 60-80 square meters built area”, which is different with "The parking space ratio is 1 per 60-80 square meters built area" shown on the website, may you clearly indicate that 60-80 square meters should be equipped with 1 parking space or 1 square meter built area?

subject to your design

Please can you explain what you mean by 'cultural message intended in the
design and its association with features'? I don't understand what you mean by
that. (It is a required part of submission documents - Part III)
This means that you need to explain what
your design intent is of the building that you have designed and how it
responds to cultures and traditions of the surroundings, the vernacular and the
heritage of China in general.

Does each plot have it's own car park ramps?
Yes, the intention is that your design should accommodate ramps to the car park below.

The extension of deadline displayed on website.
The deadline for submissions of designs
is still 10th April 2015. The extension of deadline displayed on website is
made for registration and Q&A only.
